Leading Apprentices to a College Education
NJ PLACE is a program that:

Recognizes apprenticeship training programs as a pathway to college; Recognizes apprenticeship training programs as a pathway to college;

Respects apprentices and journeyworkers as college-level learners; Respects apprentices and journeyworkers as college-level learners;

Awards apprentices and journeyworkers college credits toward associate degrees at NJ's 19 community Awards apprentices and journeyworkers college credits toward associate degrees at NJ's 19 community
colleges;

participating NJ senior colleges and universities; and

Construction Worker
Whether you know it or not, you have been working towards a college degree!
As an apprentice in a participating NJ building and construction trades union, you are eligible to apply apprenticeship training towards a college degree. To qualify, you must currently be enrolled in, or have recently completed,apprenticeship training in one of the participating NJ building and construction trades unions.
