New to Apprenticeship
If you like to learn by seeing, hearing, and DOING – combining apprenticeship training with community college courses might be your perfect pathway to a successful career.
Learn concrete skills in a trade
Apprenticeship training is a great way for you to acquire the skills you need to succeed in a wide range of challenging and rewarding trades. Apprenticeship training is hands-on, practical, and focused on the specific trade you have chosen to pursue. When you complete your apprenticeship, you will have valuable, marketable skills in the trade of your choice.
Earn college credits while you train
As long as you are willing to put in the effort, you can complete your apprenticeship and earn a college degree at the same time through NJ PLACE.
Apprenticeship or college? – Choose both!
With NJ PLACE, you don’t have to choose between apprenticeship and college – you can do both! And, it won't even have to take you any longer to complete. If you take a college course each semester during your apprenticeship program, you could complete your apprenticeship AND earn an associate degree at the same time.
